For age spots, do **not hold the laser continuously on one spot**. Place the tip vertically over the spot, use the blue positioning light to aim, then press the trigger briefly to deliver the pulse. Treat the area **spot by spot**, rather than keeping the laser on one point for several seconds. Start with a low energy and low pulse-speed setting, and avoid repeatedly firing on the same point in one session. If you feel excessive heat, burning, or strong irritation, stop immediately.
