The FAQ explains that you can use the NIR independently, which I do for deeper penetration, and cycle through the other 7 colors (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, cyan, white) based on my skin's daily needs. I can turn it on, switch between the 8 light modes (the 7 colors plus independent NIR), adjust the energy level (3 levels), and set the timer from anywhere in the room.
