The “first 3 months” means the first 3 months after your intrauterine device (IUD) was inserted. If your IUD was placed less than 3 months ago, please do not use this device on the abdomen or lower belly area. After 3 months, we still recommend checking with your doctor first, especially before using it near the pelvic/lower abdominal area. You may use it on other areas such as arms or thighs if you have no other medical restrictions, but do not use it directly over implants, metal materials, wounds, or sensitive areas.
