I purchased this item because my prior steam iron has stopped ejecting steam and is no longer on the market for a new purchase. I bought this after reading such great reviews. With my past straightener, I was able to use the steam feature to curl my hair and I would not have to use an ounce of hairspray since the steam and heat would just hold it together. With this however, even when following the instructions, obtaining a curl with the steam feature was near impossible, and then fell out within minutes.

It started burning me with hot water before i could even use it, the water you put in there is gone before you can even get half way done with the back of you hair.
